Snarry-A-Thon Reveal (slightly belated)

This is a belated (I've been traveling, yeay!) notice that the Snarry-A-Thon Reveal has been posted, and I can now take credit for my story Etudes d'esprit.  Go give it--as well as the other entries--a read, and though the fest is over, feel free to still comment!

Also visit [info]katiebell_0408's fic Expecting the Unexpected, which was written on my prompt.  Enjoy!

I just wanted to point folks to a boo-tiful drawble drawn by twilightsorcery for my birthday. It's the "Look at me!" scene from DH, and I'm tickled pink with delight, particularly since she was squeezing it in between her work on her magnificent Snarry Games pic and being sick!

thanks, girl!

Rec: drachenmina's "Her Eyes"

I would like to just post a rec for [info]drachenmina's story Her Eyes on HPFandom.

It is another Severus saves Harry Snarry fic, with a delightful twist on the genre.  While I would have liked to see it deal a bit more with
Harry's reactions to his ordeal, I was entranced by the high quality of the writing, the interactions between the boys, and the snarky dialogue.  Snape is firmly ensconced in the muggle world, with television, a CD player, and pub buddies.  One thing the author does well is one of my squees(!):  her version of Harry is a really enjoyable example of the clueless-but-savvy-when-it-counts Harry Potter!!!!!!

There were tons of hysterical moments, but the following give you an example of the high level of delicious snark:

“Do you think pirates used to fancy each other?”

“That, Potter, is quite possibly the most naïve thing you have ever said. You have a group of men whose morals are even looser than that of the populace at large, out at sea for months on end, sleeping in many cases three to a bunk - ”

“Oh. So you reckon they were all shagging each other blind, then? Well, I s’pose that’d explain why they all had eye-patches.”

Hope you read, and enjoy!
