Author's Notes: Written for the Snarry 100 Challenge: 138: Sugar and Spice
Blindfolded, hands chained, he writhed in the freezing room. The slow drip and sickly sweet odor of his blood seeping from his wounds set his teeth on edge. His terrified thoughts (What will they do to me next? Can I survive another bout with them?) spun madly.
Suddenly, he was surrounded by shouted spells and the acrid smell of sulphur and burning flesh. Immersed in a silky growl, “We’ll have you out of here straight away, Potter,” and the heady scent of sweat and spice, he knew…. Severus!
He knew Severus would rescue him. He savored that sweet knowledge.
